Maternity ~ Steph
Yesterday afternoon I had a follow up shoot from a shoot nearly two months ago.
This time instead on the beach we headed to Braeside park. Just like the last shoot, it was an awesome time. The weather was perfect, sun was shining and lots of laughs (as long as you don’t include the bull ant bite 😉 )
Steph thank you so much for allowing me to capture this amazing time in your life, I can’t wait to meet your little one when she decides to make her entrance into the world

There are some shoots that are just called dream shoots, and I had one of those yesterday. Everything just seem to fall into place, the weather was beautiful, the subjects were beautiful and easy to work with. Once I got home even editing of the images just seemed to flow, it is not normal for me to be able to completely finishing editing a shoot in 24hrs!.
Kate & Stu, it was a pleasure to be able to shoot this amazing time in your lives and I just hope you love your images as much as I do.
What I’ve learnt
The first half of this year, is my time to practise as much as I can and to learn as much as possible before I head in the portfolio building phase. So I thought it would be helpful for me, to write the things I’ve learnt from the previous shoot.
Maternity Photography
Sunday night, I had my first shoot of the year. A maternity shoot for a friend that I have known since we were in high school together.
I decided that this year was the year that I start getting my act together and start doing shoots for another people not only to build up my portfolio but also my confidence. Thankfully Steph was willing to be a test subject for me
It’s safe to say the weather sunday night was pretty yuck, it was hot, humid and windy. In the end I feel we got some beautiful images.
Thanks again to Steph and Paul, can’t wait for the next shoot when the weather is a little nicer 🙂
